Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a law firm in Irvine who is seeing to hire a Word Processor for the firm. The role provides high-level word processing and document production support for attorneys and staff. This role involves formatting, revising, proofreading, and finalizing legal and business documents using a variety of software tools. The position requires confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Format, revise, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
Utilize advanced features in word processing software (e.g., templates, TOC/TOA creation, redlining, macros).
Transcribe and proofread documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with firm standards.
Manage document formatting and updates for manuals, online resources, and internal systems.
Coordinate document submissions with external vendors and maintain content on internal platforms.
Assist attorneys and administrative staff with document-related tasks and special projects.
Provide backup support for contact management or software training as needed.
Operate standard office equipment and support general administrative needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in document production or legal administrative support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
Strong proofreading and editing skills; familiarity with AP style is a plus.
Typing speed of at least 70 WPM with high accuracy.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 12 lbs. and work extended hours as needed.
