Senior React Native Developer - Shaping the Future of Online Music Education (Remote) Are you passionate about creating smoothly animated, beautifully designed user interfaces and writing clean, modular, self-documenting and testable React Native code? Open Studio in St Louis Missouri, founded in 2015, is the #1 Online Jazz School in the world, bringing together aspiring jazz players with top jazz players and instructors. Half a million subscribers follow our Youtube channel and more than 56,000 players have taken courses on our Website. (Yes, for this role, we are hiring in Europe, more about this below.) While our current Website was built using off-the-shelf technology by a single co-founder with the help of external agencies, we are now ready to build our own tech platform that will directly contribute to making our users’ jazz learning journey more interactive, engaging and exciting. The first major project is a React Expo mobile app, with the Web learning space initially served by the same cross-platform codebase, that delivers Open Studio learning content in a more structured and individually motivating manner. Key responsibilities: Bring creative ideas and technical expertise into concept and design discussions, with UX/Visual designers and business stakeholders. Push for coherence and simplicity; Establish and maintain frontend architecture and code organisation: Implement clean and self-documenting components as well as covering them with tests; Integrate mobile native libraries and components where necessary; Participate in hiring other positions in the tech team.
