POSITION: Facilities Monitor
Parks and Recreation Department, Groton Community Center
Part-Time, up to 10 hours/week (Weekend Hours)
STARTING RATE: $18.00 / hour
POSITION RANGE: $18.00 – $19.00 / hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Facilities Monitor monitors public activity in and around Town buildings to include, but not limited to: monitoring for activity that could lead to injury or damage; adherence and promotion of department policies and procedures; assisting with event set-up/breakdown; program monitoring; and opening and closing the facility. Must be able to work weekends.
Work experience with people of all age groups in a responsible capacity required, including positive customer service skills and problem-solving capability. Mechanical aptitude and some security experience preferred. This position includes custodial responsibilities. Physical demands of the job include ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
