Job Description

A fast-paced food manufacturing facility is seeking a results-driven FSQA Manager to lead its Quality Assurance and Food Safety operations.

This role will oversee the QA/QC team and ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, SQF, and internal standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills and experience managing food safety programs in a production environment.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN CHEMISTRY AND OVERSEEING A LAB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives across production lines
• Oversee environmental monitoring, hold programs, lab functions, and consumer complaints
• Manage and support internal and external audits (e.g., SQF, FSMA)
• Investigate discrepancies or complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and train production staff in QA protocols
• Maintain and document food safety systems, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
• 3+ years of managerial QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing setting
• HACCP, PCQI, and SQF Practitioner certifications required
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and ISO 9001/13485 standards
• Demonstrated leadership in managing QA teams and ensuring audit readiness
• Proficient with QA tools and capable of interpreting blueprints, specs, and data
