This is a part-time position working up to 20 hours per week. Summary/objective: The Marketing and Communications Specialist will play a vital role in implementing communications strategies that elevate Warren Village's brand, engage supporters, and advance our mission. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling with some remote work considerations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Develop compelling content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and print materials. Maintain consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels. Create and distribute regular email newsletters to our supporter base. Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms. Design simple graphics and visual content for campaigns and events. Assist with press releases and media relations. Track and analyze communications metrics to optimize engagement. Support fundraising campaigns with targeted messaging. Collaborate with program staff to tell impactful stories about our work. Other duties as assigned. Competencies: Commitment to the mission, goals, and values of Warren Village. Technology systems aptitude. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention. High emotional IQ and intuitive analyst of social interaction. Demonstrated presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field; or 4 years of related experience Two years' experience in marketing, communications, or related field. Excellent writing and editing skills. Experience with social media management and content creation. Basic graphic design abilities (Canva proficiency sufficient). Familiarity with email marketing (Constant Contact). Experience with WordPress. Additional eligibility requirements (Certifications, Licenses, etc.): Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive Warren Village vehicles. Work Environment: The working environment is that of a typical office setting. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts with regards to filing cabinets, printers, and computers, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Physical Demands: While performing the responsibilities of the position, must constantly be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must have the ability to observe details at close range.
