Essential Job Functions: As a valued teammate, you will train alongside a Driver Trainer to learn the skills necessary to: Secure the tractor-trailer and maneuver it into position Operate the truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies Inspect equipment pre/post-trip and report the condition Use the Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) to document deliveries and ensure product safety Ride with a Driver Trainer to gain practical knowledge of commercial driving Maintain driver logs accurately according to DOT regulations Assist in unloading and delivering products Provide excellent customer service through on-time deliveries and product management Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) A minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience Candidates must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications. Working Conditions: Work environments include distribution centers, transportation departments, and customer facilities Conditions may include moderate noise, vibration, and exposure to extreme weather Frequent travel, including overnight trips, is expected Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays is required At McLane, we prioritize safety with our motto: WORK SAFE, HOME SAFE.
